As one of Nelson's historic buildings, the space needed a lot of TLC. The beautiful character has been restored after months of renovations, and in September 2021, Wonderland Hair and Beauty opened its doors.
The team is slowly expanding due to high demand for their wonderful services.

Meet Anneliese
My name is Anneliese, I am a fully qualified beauty and body therapist with 6 years industry experience. My Journey began in one of Nelson's high end day spa's, this is where my passion for treating the skin developed.
As a young adult I struggled with problematic skin and working alongside a cosmeceutical skin care line really piqued my interest in not only taking care of my own skin but sharing my knowledge with my clients
During my time working in the industry I established a client base in make-up artistry and soon ventured out on my own, taking my mobile services around the Nelson and Tasman Region. These services included massage through to hair and make-up, and everything in between.
My pursuit is to ensure a luxurious and professional environment based around health and wellness. I strive to provide an expert skin and body clinic in an atmosphere where my client feels comfortable, safe and relaxed. Anneliese x
Meet Mel
Hi, I'm Mel! Hair has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. My poor dolls and sister had a lot of creative haircuts. Now 20 years in the industry, my passion is still as strong as ever. I specialize in Wedding and occasion hair, being a part of someone's special day is huge honor and I truly cherish that.
I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing, but mostly I love foiling. Over the years there have been so many new foiling trends emerging, making foil work super creative. I have a special love for curls and love the challenge of bringing them back to life with a curl cut.
I have a motto that we need team work to create your perfect hair journey. I will listen to you and together we will come up with the best steps to get you to your hair happily ever after.

Hi! I'm Mariane,
I am new to the Nelson area! I have been working as a hairdresser for a little over 7 years now.
I offer many services, such as, family haircuts, men’s fade cut, wedding hair, hair treatment and most colour services!
I specialise and absolutely love doing blond highlights, balayage and any fun colours!
I can’t wait to make your hair beautiful 💜

Meet Ash
Hi! I’m Ashleigh.
I am a qualified makeup artist, brow specialist and cosmetic tattoo artist with six years of experience in the beauty industry and am always adding new treatments and skills to the mix.
After spending a few years away to study and work in Christchurch, I'm back in Nelson ready to build up my clientele!
My favourite part of my job is seeing my clients' faces light up with joy after their treatment, and seeing them leave the salon feeling fantastic.

Hi, my name is Amber!
I'm excited to start my 3rd year apprenticeship here at Wonderland.
I enjoy foiling and cutting hair but the part I love most about hairdressing is making people feel beautiful and confident!
I offer qiqi Keratin smoothing treatment, cuts, colours and blow waves 🙌
